Belgian Waffles
Waffles from a box are much easier and taste just fine. But box waffles aren't these waffles.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs, separated
- 5 Tbs white sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 3/4 cups self-rising flour
- 2 cups warm milk
1. In a large bowl, beat together egg yolks and sugar. Beat in vanilla extract, butter, and salt. Alternately mix in flour and milk until blended well.
2. In a seperate bowl, beat egg whites until they form soft peaks. Fold egg whites into batter and let stand for 40 mintues.
3. Preheat waffle iron. Spray with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix onto iron. Cook until golden brown and fluffy.
