Hamburger Buns


Easy. Servings can be made small and serve as many as 25. I usually make them bigger, more kaiser roll size, and end up with closer to 12.




  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 (.25 oz) packages yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour


1. In large bowl, stir together milk, butter, water, sugar and yeast. Let stand for five minutes.


2. Mix in salt. Gradually add flour until you have a soft dough. Divide into 25 (or so) pieces and form into balls. Place on baking sheets about 3 inches apart. Let rise for 20 min.


3. Preheat oven to 375°. Bake rolls for about 15 min or until golden brown. Cool slightly, then split in half horizontally.
