Hot Apple Oatmeal Cereal

Always a hit with houseguests. Good leftover too.

Bring to a boil:

4 c. milk

½ c. brown sugar

2 Tbs. butter

½ tsp. salt

1 Tbs. cinnamon

Add:

2 c. old-fashioned oatmeal

3 c. chopped apples

1 c. raisins (craisins/dried berry mix even better, in our opinion)

1 c. nuts

Cover and bake 40 minutes---uncovered the last 10.
